Is there a difference between foreign and domestic steel?

Many companies like using domestic steel products, however I don’t assume there is much difference between foreign and domestic steel, however both products have to pass rigorous testing and safety standards, but the safety standards and testing overseas are not quite as stringent as the ones here and that is one of the main differences, i use lots of steel products in my company and I always try to buy American made domestic steel whenever possible. I don’t assume there is much of a difference between the steel products, however the American-made products make myself and others assume like I am helping another small company in the area. My small company is pressing to myself and others and I assume there are other people with small suppliers that are just as pressing to them. I buy all of my steel products from a supplier that offers both American made and foreign products. The foreign steel products are honestly much cheaper than the American made steel products. I buy American-made steel for everything that counts and I buy the cheaper foreign-made steel for the products that don’t matter. The double loop ties that I use on all of the rebar are foreign, however all of the rebar rods are all domestic made. I save quite a bit of currency by using the foreign double loop wire ties and I can find them in many odd applications. I can also find the double loop wire ties in a variety of odd sizes including 14 gauge all the way up to 18 gauge. The double loop wire ties are made of high quality steel, however they are easily malleable and bendy.
